Overview
The Department for Children & Families, Family Services Division Burlington District is seeking an Administrative Services Technician IV to join our team of dedicated staff in supporting children, families and communities. Our goal is to promote safety, permanency, wellbeing and law abidance for children in need. Your work will help Family Service Workers and other staff achieve this mission. The work we do is meaningful, challenging and critical to the safety and well-being of Vermont's children and families.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, maintain a positive and professional attitude, have confidence in Excel and Word, and enjoy learning and using new systems. They will also have a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines with a high level of attention to detail/accuracy of data entry. The work is fast-paced, and this position is often the first contact that the public has with the local FSD office. Other work may include: developing and maintaining documents and spreadsheets, ordering and coding invoices, taking meeting minutes, managing and tracking files, answering phones, greeting clients and other assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
One (1) year of College level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.
OR
One (1) year as an Administrative Services Technician III with the State of Vermont.
Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
