Overview

Work in a supportive work environment with a Monday-Friday schedule, eleven paid state holidays, in addition to a robust benefits package.
 

DVHA's Clinical Operations Unit (COU) is seeking a new team member, to support clerical and paraprofessional work, to join our dynamic team. This role will help support the processing of medical and dental prior authorization requests into multiple systems to support a medical necessity determination by clinical staff. This process includes data entry and data abstraction. Other administrative tasks performed will be responding to faxes, emails, phone calls, form development, and capturing meeting minutes.

 

Daily Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 7:45am  - 4:30pm, with a 45 minute lunch
Remote or In-Person Requirements: In-person at minimum 3 days a week

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND two (2) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

One (1) year or more of experience as a Program Technician I with the State of Vermont.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND two (2) years or more of experience of administrative work in an office setting, such as complex data entry and data retrieval from multiple systems, customer service, triaging phone calls, taking minutes, and scheduling meetings. Effective written and oral communication. Microsoft knowledge.
