Overview

The Application & Document Processing Center receives documents from applicants seeking health care coverage and/or economic assistance. We put their documents into an electronic case management system for Program Specialists to determine their eligibility.  Primary job duties include: Sorting and opening mail to create batches of documents that can be scanned and digitally imaged, then indexing those documents by attaching them to client case records and dispatching them to eligibility workers. This position is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with the State of Vermont and familiarize yourself with various documents and software used in other State positions.

This position, Program Technician I - Temporary (Job Requisition # 3033), is open to all State employees and external applicants.

This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration support (such as administrating components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND one (1) year or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration support (such as administrating components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).
