Overview

The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) is seeking a Medicaid Fiscal Analyst to join its 16-person Business Office in the Analytics Unit. This hybrid position is located in the state office complex in Waterbury.
   
A successful candidate must recognize and implement best practices for business office operations and internal controls to benefit DVHA. Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, are heavily relied upon; intermediate or advanced skills in these programs is preferred, familiarity with Tableau is also preferred, and the ability and desire to learn new software is a must.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Infrequent travel may be required, for which private means of transportation must be available. Work outside of normal office hours may be required. Considerable pressure from deadlines may be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more at a professional level in financial or actuarial analysis or budgeting.

OR

Two years of full-time college course work OR an associate's degree AND six (6) years or more at a professional level in financial or actuarial analysis or budgeting.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND eight (8) years or more at a professional level in financial or actuarial analysis or budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with managed care programs.
