Title: Information Technology Project Manager I
Waterbury, VT, US
Overview
The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is seeking a Project Manager to join ADS's Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) as a Project Manager level I. Strong health insurance benefits, a pension plan, a deferred compensation plan and reimbursement for continuing education are just a few of the benefits of working for the State of Vermont. We have a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, with some flexibility in these hours and the potential for telework while living within the State of Vermont.
This is the first level of five in the ADS EPMO Project Manager series. - Coordination and project management support of technology-related projects.
- Under supervision, project managers at this level work with information technology (IT) staff, subject matter experts (SMEs), and program leaders to coordinate the planning, organizing, implementing, and enhancing of information systems and services for the State of Vermont.
- Creating and documenting project work plans, including scope, schedule, and cost, and revising as appropriate.
- Identifying and coordinating the assignment of resources and ensuring that the resource plan is carried out consistently with the overall project goals and schedule.
- Monitoring and controlling day-to-day project aspects of one or more projects.
- Reviewing deliverables prepared by the vendor to ensure consistency with requirements and recommends acceptance or rework.
- Developing and vetting risk mitigation plans.
- Being responsible for document management, including version control, and the creation of project records.
- Accomplishing earned value management calculations and reporting by tracking team hours, progress in terms of scope, and expenses.
