The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is currently hiring an Information Technology Systems Developer III to develop new and exciting solutions for the Agency of Human Services (AHS) using Salesforce.com. ADS AHS IT is interested in hiring someone with several years of Salesforce development experience to help build our internal knowledge base.  The right candidate is technical, being versed in best practices, and has the ability to share information and guide other technical staff.  If you enjoy working independently, as well as on project teams, and are excited to share your knowledge about Salesforce, this may be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities of the Salesforce.com IT Systems Developer will:

  • Serve as a lead developer for Agency of Digital Service's Salesforce.com applications that serve the Agency of Human Services
  • Develop and Administer the Agency of Human Services Salesforce production environment and sandbox management
  • Provides technical solutions based on the organization's direction, operations, processes and principles.
  • Provide support and training to junior developers

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: This position will primarily support a department within the Agency of Human Services. Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.  In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting and there is considerable interaction with users and members of project teams requiring some tact and diplomacy to balance competing views. Work outside of regular work schedule can be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
Six (6) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.

Preferred Qualifications

-  Bachelor’s Degree
-  3+ years of Salesforce.Com Development experience
-  Thorough knowledge of systems analysis, system design and data base architecture.
-  Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices and business needs.
-  Experience in SFDC development using Apex classes, batch scripts and triggers, Visualforce pages and components (in both Classic UI and LEX), Force.com IDE, SOQL, SOSL, REST & Web Services APIs, Flow Designer.
-  Knowledge of integration architecture as well as third-party integration tools and Web Services API and third-party integration tools (DreamFactory, Mulesoft, Rhapsody).
-  Proficient in SFDC Administrative tasks like creating profiles, roles & users, manipulating page layouts and record types, setting up email services, configuring approvals, designing workflows, creating reports & dashboards, working in both the    Classic UI and Lightning
-  Experience creating, installing and maintaining managed AppExchange packages such as Pardot, ownbackup.com, Conga Composer, etc
-  Demonstrated knowledge of Telephony, Chat, Mobile, Web, Social as customer service channels
-  Experience troubleshooting Salesforce application and integration issues
-  Knowledge of Public Sector and Human Service’s technology
