The State of Vermont's Agency of Digital Services (ADS) team, supporting the Agency of Human Services (AHS), is looking for YOU to join us as an IT Systems Developer utilizing Low Code Technology!
This entry-level position is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their programming and systems analysis skills while contributing to impactful projects. Here are just a few of the things we do and where YOU'LL have an immediate opportunity to make an impact:
- IT Modernization – Transitioning legacy systems to cloud-based solutions using low-code platforms, streamlining the development of applications for improved customer service.
- Improving Business Processes – Using low-code technology to develop solutions that simplify and enhance internal processes, making operations more efficient and responsive.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Assist in designing, coding/configuring, testing, and maintaining applications while maintaining technical documentation.
- Systems Support: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and training to clients.
- Database Management: Learn and apply best practices in database administration and support.
- Stay Current: Keep informed of the latest advancements in supported technologies and industry best practices.
This position is located in Waterbury Vermont, and requires you to be in office for 2 to 3 days per week during your initial training period. After the initial training is completed, a hybrid schedule is possible working both remotely as well as in office, as needed. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Environmental Factors
Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits
OR
Two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Services: Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure, and other Microsoft-based technologies and services.
- Familiarity with relational databases and data analysis.
- Familiarity with systems analysis, system design, and database architecture strategies and best practices.
- Ability to read system designs, workflow plans, report formats, and input/output documents.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages/scripting languages such as: C#, Java, Python, Powershell.
- Familiarity with markup languages such as XML or JSON.
