The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is currently hiring two Information Technology Systems Developer I positions to support and develop new and exciting solutions for the Agency of Human Services (AHS) using a variety of technologies. ADS AHS IT is interested in hiring someone with a strong technical background who has knowledge of a variety of technologies such as Java, Spring, Cold Fusion, Linux OS, bash scripting, and Informix; knowledge of developer tools such as Maven, IntelliJ, GIT, and Jira; knowledge of the SDLC; and good communication skills. The correct candidate is technical, understands best practices, and communicate effectively to technical colleagues as well as to non-technical business partners with the guidance of supervisor/senior developer.

Environmental Factors

Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits


Two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Coding experience in java, Spring development and/or .NET
Experience with shell scripting and/or Informix
Experience with Linux and Windows OS.
Knowledge of systems analysis, system design and database architecture
Some experience with the SDLC, including design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality Business solutions based on industry best practices and business needs
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira
Experience with version control software such as GIT
Experience with Maven, IntelliJ and/or Visual Studio
Excellent Communication skills (oral and written)
Strong base knowledge of SQL (Oracle and/or MSSQL)
Some knowledge of Public Sector and Human Service's technology
