Overview

Are you an administrative professional who would like to join the administrative unit to provide support to the Department of Human Resources? We are seeking someone with exceptional office skills to include Microsoft Office, WORD and EXCEL. Daily work includes processing a high volume of phone calls, data entry, email communications and filing.
As a member of our administrative unit, you will work closely with several departments within the Agency of Human Services, assisting with the management of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are necessary. We are looking for a professional who is detail oriented and can work effectively with all levels of employees and management, organize and prioritize work effectively and adapt to changing demands in a fast paced, ever changing environment. The ability to move from one task to another quickly and efficiently is needed. Working within deadlines is critical for this position. 
Duties include providing follow-up and assistance to team members, supervisors and employees in various departments in such areas as records management, recruitment, position management, entering and maintaining data, and new employee orientation. The Level I and II differ in the level of independent action and duties assigned. Movement from Level One to Level Two may occur after six months at Level One.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher AND one (1) year or more of experience that must include providing support services to internal or external customers and computer experience involving the use of spreadsheets, databases, and email communications.

OR

Associate's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience that must include providing support services to internal or external customers and computer experience involving the use of spreadsheets, databases, and email communications.

OR

High School diploma AND three (3) years or more of experience that must include providing support services to internal or external customers and computer experience involving the use of spreadsheets, databases, and email communications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in public employment.
