DVHA's Health Access Eligibility and Enrollment Unit (HAEEU) is seeking a qualified individual to join their dynamic team.


The Training and Curriculum Development Coordinator is one of two training positions with subject matter expertise on all Healthcare programs and subprograms and the supporting databased systems. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Development and implementation of new hire training curriculum for Vermont Healthcare Support Specialist. Development and implementation of identified training needs for staff such as changes related to rules, requirements and/or business processes, and refresher trainings. Processing eligibility applications and changes in all healthcare programs and subprograms. Providing expertise to customers with escalated eligibility or enrollment issues both on and off the phone.

Environmental Factors

Duties are carried out in a variety of settings including standard office, classroom, facilities of a resource provider, or even in an on-the-job setting. Considerable travel is involved for which private means of transportation must be available. Position duties may require performance outside of normal work days and hours. Tight deadlines for organization and presentation of proposal and programs can occur. Strong and differing opinions may arise as to the nature, content, method of delivery, etc. of training programs, which should be positively channeled to achieve program enrichment. Changes in available funding may necessitate sudden program modifications.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in the broad field of education, psychology, or human services AND one (1) year or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

Associate's degree in the broad field of education, psychology, or human services AND five (5) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

High School diploma AND seven (7) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and proficiency in databases, healthcare processing systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Googledocs, SharePoint, and supporting healthcare systems (OnBase, VHC portal, WEX, ACCESS, Siebel, MNT, KMS, OBIEE, DMZ).
• Working knowledge of job aids.
• Working knowledge of KMS for job aids.
• Collect and analyze data objectively.
• Critical thinking.
• Ability to research, analyze, interpret, explain and train complex rules and apply them to specific case situations.
