This position is in the Revenue Enhancement Unit of the DCF Family Services Division.  This is a new position and will provide high level, complex support to the FSD Revenue Enhancement Director in support of the fiscal oversight of the Division.  In addition, the position will provide support to the Grant and Contract team within the Revenue Enhancement Unit (REU).  Examples of the type of work that will accompany this position:

1. Support operations and quality assurance tasks to ensure the state is complying with Federal standards and maximizing federal funds.  This position will be responsible for running and completing initial analysis of reports detailing system functioning and staff adherence to procedures.  This position will then communicate this information to the REU Director and other internal stakeholders.

2. The Revenue Enhancement Unit is involved in all matters related the FSD's budget and financial monitoring.  This position will support the REU Director in management of the budget including providing information about coding and contract usage, understanding Federal funding regulations.


3. Assisting the grants and contracts team in uploading agreements into the routing system, understand the contracting process, process invoices and complete tracking when needed, and reviewing and communicating with stakeholders about contract performance.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team, but also working autonomously.  The candidate will need to be a self-starter who can recognize and prioritize tasks as they develop.  Comfort working with numbers and other data, and an intermediate skill level in Excel are a must.  Other preferred qualities are a customer-service orientation to the work and a belief in the work of the Family Services Division.

Class Definition

Administrative, analytical and inter-agency coordinating work at a professional level involving federal funding of departmental programs. Duties include information systems development and public policy formulation. Extensive interaction will occur on state and federal levels with program managers, field staff and financial officers. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Attendance at a variety of meetings may require work outside of normal business hours and some travel, for which private means of transportation must be available.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience at a professional level in accounting, auditing, federal grants management, business administration, or public administration.
