Title: Contract and Grants Specialist I - Limited Service

Overview
This position ensures all the details work in unison, by harmonizing programmatic work with State policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, have an aptitude for drafting, proofreading, and editing agreements, be capable of reviewing invoices for accuracy, be able to review and process client insurance claims, be comfortable using diverse software applications, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The Contract and Grants Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting a diverse spectrum of divisional activities, such as; agreement drafting and monitoring, purchasing, accounts payable, storage & fulfillment, expenses, data entry, processing insurance claims and client enrollment, mailings, and other administrative duties as assigned.
This is a hybrid position, sponsoring a remote and in-office schedule. Candidate must be able to work in the Waterbury office on a weekly basis.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in a standard office setting but may involve some travel for which private means of transportation is required. Some evening or overtime work may be necessary. Interaction with grantees, contractors and consultants through phone contact is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, financial auditing, grants administration, or another closely related field.
OR
Three (3) years or more of combined education and experience in accounting, business management, financial auditing, grants administration, or another relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with continuous improvement processes, use of Excel, and familiarity with any grant management system.
