Overview

AHS seeks a Care Transformation Director to lead work performed under the general direction of the senior level Health Care Reform leadership within the Secretary's Office in the Agency of Human Services. The Care Transformation Director will be critical to moving forward AHS's health care transformation agenda, including identifying, developing, and implementing policy and programmatic changes in response to Act 167 to ensure financial sustainability and adequate access across the health system in Vermont. The work requires an articulate, diplomatic leader who is able to garner the cooperation and support of diverse groups of individuals and organizations. A significant portion of the role will involve collaboration with external stakeholders, particularly health care providers. Should the State move forward with CMS's States Advancing All-Payer Health Equity Approaches and Development (AHEAD) Model or another alternative payment model, the Care Transformation Director will partner with other leaders within Health Care Reform to align care transformation goals with broader, statewide health care system goals.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Private means of transportation must be available for occasional travel. The incumbent must be able to reconcile a broad array of competing interests within programmatic and budgetary constraints. Significant pressure from deadlines may be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in data science, informatics, public administration, policy, or human services related field AND three (3) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.

OR

Master’s degree in data science, informatics, public administration, policy, or human services related field AND two (2) years of experience of managerial experience in project development.
