Overview

The Child Development Division (CDD) in the Department for Children and Families is seeking an individual to assist in reviewing eligibility determinations and payment authorizations that have been made as a part of administering CDD's Child Care Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP).  This is a temporary position that would begin working in September 2025.  At this time, the position has only been approved to run through December of 2025, but we anticipate that it may be extended to run through June of 2026. The main responsibilities associated with this position will be to:
•    Work with the CCFAP team to assess the accuracy of CCFAP eligibility determinations
•    Determine if CCFAP payment authorizations have been made appropriately
•    Use those determinations to identify opportunities for improvement to CCFAP program integrity

A successful candidate must have experience with CDD's BFIS and CDDIS information systems, and should have a working knowledge of CCFAP's eligibility determinations process.  Given the limited time frame associated with this position, a successful candidate should also be skilled at time management, and should be able to work relatively independently, with direction as appropriate.

This position would be supervised by CDD's Director of Operations, and will sit in CDD's Operations Unit.

CDD is housed in the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC).  This is a temporary hybrid position that can work remotely for up to four days weekly.   The members of the Operations Unit also have weekly in-person meetings in Waterbury, and occasionally hold other team events on-site; a successful candidate should have a reliable way to get to Waterbury as needed for these activities.
