Title:  Administrative Services Coordinator II

Application Deadline Date:  04/07/2026
Req ID:  54592
Department:  Children and Families
Location:

Waterbury, VT, US

Position Type:  Permanent
Schedule Type:  Full Time
Minimum Salary:  $25.98
Maximum Salary:  $40.56

Overview

This position provides administrative support to the Department for Children and Families (DCF) Commissioner's Registry Review Unit (CRRU). The unit oversees ten contractors who review Family Services Division (FSD) substantiation decisions and evaluate petitions for expungement on behalf of the Commissioner.

The role is one of three administrative staff responsible for managing substantiation review cases from the time a request is received through the completion of the review process and any resulting appeals. The position also involves regular communication with individuals listed on the Registry and their attorneys. Staff in this role must work on-site at the state office at least three days per week.

CRRU is a small but consistently busy unit, so the ability to work independently while supporting colleagues and the CRRU Director is essential. A key responsibility includes redacting sensitive and confidential investigative records. Other duties may include scheduling Microsoft Teams meetings and reserving meeting space in district offices for FSD staff and individuals requesting a review.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a high volume of work, and the capacity to produce accurate documents under statutory deadlines. The work may involve reviewing materials related to child abuse and neglect cases, which can at times involve difficult subject matter.

Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred. Familiarity with DCF databases such as SSMIS and FSDNet, as well as the Department of Corrections JailTracker system and the Odyssey judicial portal, is also desirable.
