Overview
The Vermont Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) team. PRAMS is a research project that collects information from new mothers to improve the health of their infants and their own. This position is responsible for maintaining the schedule of survey mailings and telephone follow-up to those who do not respond by mail or web. Tasks include preparing survey mailings, conducting telephone interviews, entering data from completed surveys, and ensuring the quality of mail preparation and data entry. Additionally, this position will use specialized software for data management.
This is a job-share position for 20 hours/week from Monday through Wednesday, in-person at the Waterbury State Office Complex. Flexible hours are required for some scheduled evening and weekend phone calls.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
OR
Associate's degree and one (1) year providing administrative-level duties for a project, program, or operation
OR
High school graduation or equivalent and two (2) years performing administrative-level duties for a project, program, or operation.
Note: Administrative duties are those beyond general clerical or secretarial, such as interpretation of laws, rules and regulations; data collection and analysis; managing support services; and implementing program policies and procedures.
Special Requirements
This position requires strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new software. Additionally, this position is expected to familiarize and follow PRAMS's strict procedural protocol.
