Title: AHS Project Director

Overview
The Agency of Human Services (AHS) is seeking an innovative executive to lead, design and execute high-impact programmatic and organizational initiatives across the AHS. This position will drive alignment and action across departments where policies and programs intersect, ensuring strategic opportunities are captured and leveraged for maximum impact. This role will spearhead complex, cross-system projects with significant policy, operational and organizational implications. Leading strategic initiatives for the Secretary's office, this individual will drive workplans, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and change management to ensure timely delivery and organizational alignment. Over time, the position will expand to a small unit of project managers to facilitate successful implementation and ensure desired outcomes. The Project Director will direct the Agency's planning and budget process and will lead the Agency's homelessness and housing strategy, driving policy, planning and legislative change to deliver impactful solutions.
The AHS seeks a leader who is dedicated, responsive, adaptable and who can effectively maneuver through complex policy, process and people-related organizational dynamics.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of regular work schedule may be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field AND four (4) years of experience in public administration, business administration, project management, strategic planning, government operations, or related field.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field AND six (6) years of experience in public administration, business administration, project management, strategic planning, government operations, or related field.
OR
Eight (8) years of experience in public administration, business administration, project management, strategic planning, government operations, or related field.
