Overview

Vermont State Parks seeks a positive, energetic, hard working administrative professional to join our team. The Administrative Services Technician IV supports multiple facets of park operations for two Park Regions. This position is heavily involved in the administrative aspects of recruiting, hiring, onboarding and offboarding approximately 200 seasonal staff each year. The position works closely with our Human Resources partners to accomplish this. The position also provides administrative assistance to two park regions. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating permits, licenses and other agreements. Other duties include, but are not limited to: general administrative assistance, event planning, marketing support, merchandise program support, and supply procurement and distribution. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives when working on diverse projects and supporting partners. Candidates should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to tackle various assignments. Work is primarily in an office setting. The position will be based out of either the Rutland or Killington regional office, and will be required to travel between the two offices as needed. There are also opportunities to work remotely. Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.

OR

One (1) year of College level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.

OR

One (1) year as an Administrative Services Technician III with the State of Vermont.

Special Requirements

For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
