Overview
Seeking a skilled Military maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will possess expertise in electrical systems, general maintenance, and administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
Electrical Systems:
- Basic electricity principles
- Circuit analysis and trouble shooting
- Lighting systems maintenance and repairs
- Preventive maintenance on Solor Array, emergency lighting, Lightning Protection Systems
- Assist with sprinkler and fire alarm testing and maintenance
- Electrical safety procedures
General maintenance :
- Change light bulbs
- Replacing fuses and circuit breakers
- Performing Preventive Maintenance on equipment
- Changing out outlets and wall switches
Administrative:
- Managing maintenance schedules and records
- Ordering and inventory parts and materials for work orders
- Preparing reports and maintenance documentation
Additional Responsibilities:
- Compliance with safety regulations and Air Force Standards
- Assisting other shops as needed
- Emergency call-ins after hours and weekends
Qualified candidates will require a Background check for Base access and Government computer access, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. A Vermont valid driver's license is also required.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed at military facilities in VT. An incumbent often works near or with hazardous materials, including ammunition and high voltage. Work requires entering confined spaces, removing snow on runways and exposure to loud noises. An incumbent operates heavy equipment and possession of a Commercial Driver's License is required. An incumbent must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment and materials weighing as much as fifty pounds. Work is performed in all kinds of weather. Some outside of normal working hours may be required. Travel and overnight stay may be included.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more in Construction or Facilities Maintenance.
OR
At least one (1) or more years of Military Maintenance Specialist II.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must possess CDL license or complete State approved HVAC course.
Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of work experience in building construction or maintenance.
Building Trades/Vocational Education
Previous experience working on a military installation.
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems.
Locksmith knowledge.
Special Requirements
Incumbents of this job may be required to have a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) issued, which is issued only upon passing a federal background check (Tier 1) including a fingerprint-supported criminal record check. Possession of CAC may be a condition of continued employment according to assigned duties and or location."
Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required for assigned duties.
