Overview

Are you an engaged leader with a desire to help others? We are in search of experienced and dedicated Shelter Shift Supervisors to join our team in Rutland, Vermont. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a leadership role in ensuring the shelter operations run smoothly and provide guidance to the Shelter Workers who assist guests at the 24/7 facility. In this dynamic position, you will oversee the documentation of case management, safety concerns, shelter needs, and rule violations, while actively monitoring the shelter's daily operations. Additionally, you will manage shelter inventory, accept, and organize donations, and address any other operational concerns that arise. The ideal candidate will possess an ability to make quick decisions, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families facing homelessness. There will be three separate 8-hour shifts daily, a schedule will be created based upon the needs of the program.

This position, Shelter Shift Supervisor - Temporary (Job Requisition #51794), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
