Overview

The Vermont Criminal Justice Council is seeking a Program Services Clerk responsible for general administrative duties, support work for all training staff, document and form creation, mailings,  managing records and student grades (required for certification as a Police Officer). Additionally, this position assists with facility operations, course logistics, ordering supplies, taking meeting minutes, assisting with website and document maintenance, support of Council subcommittees and the Basic Training programming. Proficiency with software used to create presentations and general graphic design skills are preferred.  This position reports to the Director of Training and Curriculum Development.

 

This position may work up to twenty (20) hours per week. The schedule varies based on programmatic needs, but offers considerable flexibility.

This position, Program Services Clerk - Temporary (Job Requisition #13662), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting but occasional travel may be required, for which private means of transportation must be available. Considerable interaction with clients and the general public may be anticipated. Some pressure from deadlines may occur.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of office clerical experience.

OR

Completion of a one-year vocational/technical training program in business and office occupations or related area AND one (1) year or more of office clerical experience.

OR

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher.
