Overview

The Department of Liquor & Lottery (DLL), Division of Liquor Control is seeking a Warehouse Delivery Specialist. This position is comprised of transport work involving delivery and rotation of alcoholic beverage cases and related items, return of unused stock, and disposal of empty bottles. Regular interaction with store personnel and the general public is to be expected. Specific duties will vary according to assignment but typically include delivering orders throughout the state and picking up redeemables. The Warehouse Delivery Specialist will be reponsible for the following: operation of a forklift, counting of returnable bottles, inventory control using a computerized warehouse management system, use of scanner for order verification prior to loading product on delivery trucks, product loading, and packing split cases.

 

Required: CDL – Class B or A with air brake endorsement.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed on the road operating a delivery vehicle on scheduled routes that require driving in variable weather conditions. Incumbents need to be able to lift full cases of liquor, climb stairs and walk on uneven and potentially icy terrain. Incumbents will operate fork lift, cherry picker, and other equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

OR

Completion of eighth grade or higher AND two (2) years or more of clerical, inventory, sales, warehouse, or stores experience.

Special Requirements

A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
