Who May Apply
This position, Tax Examiner IV - Temporary (Job Requisition #53945), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Workload pressure may vary over time. Incumbents must be able to concentrate on details and perform accurate work in the face of frequent interruptions. Human relations skills may be needed to deal with the general public. Stressful situations and strong differences of opinion with taxpayers or their representatives may occur. Some travel for work may be required. Pressure from work deadlines is predictable.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant CPA AND two (2) years or more of professional level experience in tax examination, accounting, Auditing or business administration.
OR
Bachelor's degree or higher AND one 1 year or more of professional level experience in tax examination, accounting, Auditing or business administration.
OR
Associate's degree with courses in accounting, finance, business administration, taxation AND three 3 years or more of professional level experience in tax examination, accounting, Auditing or business administration.
OR
Two 2 year or more of experience as a Tax Examiner III.
