Overview

In addition to serving as back up personnel for the Administrative Service Coordinator III, this temporary hire will be assigned to assist with finalizing the Office of Public Guardian (OPG) Field Guide, an important manual for Public Guardians, and will implement OPG's transition to paperless electronic filing. The transition to electronic records management has slowly started due to COVID-19; however, to complete this process, OPG needs a dedicated hire to travel throughout VT to each Public Guardian's office and/or home office location to scan, upload and shred documentation.

This position, Program Technician I - Temporary (Job Requisition #40381), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration support (such as administrating components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).

OR

Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND one (1) year or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration support (such as administrating components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).
