Overview

The Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a highly-organized professional with excellent attention to detail to join our team as a Purchasing Inventory & Facilities Specialist. This position will act as the lead worker in the Stockroom and Mail Center Operations. Daily duties involve procurement of office and computer supplies, furnishings and ergonomic equipment, special order purchases and distribution, inventory management, disposing of surplus property, various work orders and general facility maintenance, distribution of mail including hazardous materials, and managing the Department's vehicle pool. The incumbent may participate and support the management and execution of emergency preparedness plans, as well as the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for the Department. Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities & Logistics Manager in the Division of Finance & Logistics. Performs other related duties as required.

In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. Environmental Factors

Incumbent must be able to lift and move heavy boxes, parcels, and equipment. Duties may require the use of hand tools and operation of a jack pallet. Some exposure to adverse environments, climate conditions, and adversarial opinions is predictable. Travel to other DMV branch offices is necessary for which a valid driver's license is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND one (1) year or more of experience in public or business administration, program planning and implementation, data management, or Motor Vehicle experience above a technical or intermediate level.

OR

Associate's degree in public administration, business administration, or general management AND two (2) or more years of experience in a public or private sector position or Motor Vehicle experience above a technical or intermediate level.

OR

High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) or more years of experience in a public or private sector position or Motor Vehicle experience above a technical or intermediate level.
