Overview
The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as the lead worker in our Stockroom and Mail Center Operation within the Division of Finance & Logistics. This role plays a vital part in keeping the department running smoothly by overseeing procurement, distribution, and facility support services.
Responsibilities include procurement of office and computer supplies, furnishings, ergonomic equipment, and special orders; managing inventory and surplus property; processing work orders and general facility maintenance; and handling mail distribution, including hazardous materials. The position also manages the Department’s vehicle pool, processes badge and parking permit requests, and supports onboarding and separation requests through FootPrints.
In addition, this role may participate in emergency preparedness planning and execution, as well as the Department’s Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP). Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities & Logistics Manager, with other related duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors
Incumbent must be able to lift and move heavy boxes, parcels, and equipment. Duties may require the use of hand tools and operation of a jack pallet. Some exposure to adverse environments, climate conditions, and adversarial opinions is predictable. Travel to other DMV branch offices is necessary for which a valid driver's license is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, accounting, facility management, or related field.
OR
Four (4) years or more of experience in purchasing, inventory control, mailroom/facility management, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles.
