Title: Insurance Rate & Form Analyst

Overview
The Rate and Form Analyst will primarily be tasked with reviewing property and casualty rate and form filings. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail oriented and have a comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty coverages. Most of the rate and form review work is done independently with ample opportunities for collaboration with a larger team to discuss issues or policy questions as they arise. At DFR our mission is to protect Vermont consumers and ensure they are purchasing compliant products. The Analyst will be expected to handle a high filing load and be able to manage statutory deadlines. Organizational skills as well as the ability to clearly communicate compliance issues with third party filers and companies are integral to the position.
There will be opportunities for telework.
As of July 14, 2025, the step 1 rate for pay grade 23 will be $27.50 per hour.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation must be provided. Duties involve interaction with company personnel and attorneys and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years or more at or above a technical level involving insurance company, agency, or regulatory policy form analysis; insurance rate analysis; insurance statistical analysis; actuarial analysis; insurance underwriting; or comparable experience.
