Overview

As a IT Business Analyst IV, this is a Sr Analyst position within the ADS EPMO. This position requires mentor and leadership skills as this individual will be respoinsible for working with and coaching junior BAs. This position also requires the ability to work autonomously, while being efficient and making decisions that support both the goals of the business stakeholders as well as the EPMO. A BA IV is also responsible for the following: 

 

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Lead complex projects by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. Develop and implement solutions that enhance business operations.
  • Project Leadership: Take a leadership role in project planning and execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Act as a liaison between business units and IT or development teams.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design and evaluate solutions that meet business needs. Ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor junior business analysts and provide training to team members and stakeholders on new systems or processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in testing activities to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Change Management: Support change management efforts by preparing communication plans and training materials to facilitate smooth transitions to new processes or systems.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning efforts by providing insights and recommendations based on business analysis.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that business processes and solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with business changes.

 

A BA IV is expected to have extensive experience in business analysis, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business analysis tools and methodologies. Advanced certifications, such as CBAP are preferred but not required. A fingerprint-supported background check may be required based on the assigned job duties and location.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting. The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Implementation of recommendations may be difficult because of competing interests and limited resources. Rapid response in the face of tight deadlines may be necessary. Evening and weekend duty, although rare, may be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Eight (8) years or more of Business Analysis experience at a professional level.

Preferred Qualifications

CCBA/CBAP certification.

Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related subject.
