We are seeking dedicated IT Vendor Relationship Specialists to join our team and help us manage and optimize our partnerships with key technology vendors.
As an IT Vendor Relationship Specialist within the Agency of Digital Services, you will be instrumental in managing and strengthening our relationships with technology vendors. Your role will ensure that our vendor partnerships support our strategic objectives and deliver maximum value to the state and its residents. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and strategic thinker who is passionate about public service and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors to ensure alignment with the department's objectives and strategic goals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions for the state.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify technology needs and evaluate potential vendors to meet those needs.
- Conduct regular vendor reviews and assessments to ensure optimal performance and value delivery.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related inquiries and communications.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between vendors and internal teams.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting. The role involves intensive interaction with departmental officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Implementation of recommendations may be difficult because of competing interests and limited resources. Rapid response in the face of tight deadlines may be necessary. Some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of the regular work schedule may be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years or more experience in business, business science, logistics, contract administration, or contract law, or five (5) years’ experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business, business science, logistics, or engineering and four (4) years’ experience in a related field along with at least one year of managerial experience.
