Overview
The Vermont Department of Labor is currently seeking individuals to maintain existing applications and to develop new cloud base applications to manage the Unemployment Insurance process. This includes interfacing with new cloud-based applications and external partners as well as creating dashboards. Working with Salesforce, MuleSoft, OnBase, Cloud environments, and traditional on prem systems is where you’ll be. Must have a strong desire to learn and grow with our environment. Salesforce development will the main focus but there are never a shortage of other projects to work on.

Class Definition
This is the third level of five in the Systems Developer series. The position is primarily responsible for analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of new or existing software applications within a State of Vermont organization, professional programming, data base administration, and systems analysis work for a department or agency of Vermont State Government. Class incumbents are technical experts in their field. This level is different from the Systems Developer II position in that it requires a greater level of experience and ability to work independently, adds responsibilities for researching and improving the overall software development process, and may also act as a technical team lead. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative or professional supervisor.
Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting and there is considerable interaction with users and members of project teams requiring some tact and diplomacy to balance competing views. Work outside of regular work schedule can be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
OR
Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
OR
Six (6) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
