Overview

Are you passionate about technology and enjoy programming solutions to streamline business processes?  Would you enjoy developing web applications for the scientists, analysts, and administrators at the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources who are dedicated to protecting and improving the health of Vermont's people, environment, and promoting the sustainable use of Vermont's natural resources? The Vermont Agency of Digital Services ANR IT Team is seeking an IT Systems Developer III.  This position is responsible for creating detailed program and functional specifications and the subsequent development, testing, and deployment of web applications for both internal and external stakeholders.  Preferred candidates will have experience in ASP.NET or React as well as T-SQL databases.

It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting and there is considerable interaction with users and members of project teams requiring some tact and diplomacy to balance competing views. Work outside of regular work schedule can be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.

OR

Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.

OR

Six (6) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
