Overview
The Agency of Digital Services is seeking a Network Administrator II to join its Network Operations team. This position represents a journey-level technical role responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the State's enterprise network infrastructure.
Working under limited supervision, you will configure, monitor, and maintain network hardware supporting State facilities and data centers. This role involves implementing and maintaining secure, stable, and efficient connectivity across multiple departments, contributing to network improvement projects, and assisting in the development of operational standards and documentation.
You will serve as a technical resource to other IT teams, providing guidance on connectivity issues, system dependences, and network design best practices. The position offers continued professional growth through exposure to advanced technologies, large-scale infrastructure projects, and opportunities to collaborate with senior network engineers and security specialists.
Duties are primarily performed in an office or data center environment, with periodic fieldwork at various State-owned or leased facilities. In-state travel is required to support network installations and maintenance. Evening, weekend, or on-call work may occasionally be required.
A fingerprint-supported background check is required as a condition of employment.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a computer network environment involving considerable interaction with customers, departmental and other IT staff. Some overtime work will be necessary during after hour maintenance or emergencies. Some travel to customer locations may be involved, for which private means of transportation may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science;
OR
Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
OR
Four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
