Overview

The Data Services Manager will work to execute short-and long-range plans for major IT systems/technology functions related to the Judiciary's mission and goals. This individual will manage the planning and oversight of multiple new IT initiatives as well as the ongoing maintenance and operations of existing systems. They provide technical solutions based on the Judiciary's goals, operations, processes and principles. The IT Manager leads the technical Data Services team, appropriately assigning and delegating duties and responsibilities, ensuring high quality and effective execution, monitoring performance, and providing administrative oversight.

Operating under the general direction of the IT Director - Application and Data Services, the Data Services Manager position is both a hands-on contributor and the leader of the Data Services team which is comprised of data professionals who perform data analytics, data modeling, data reporting, and data dissemination.  

The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of Business Intelligence visualization tools; considerable knowledge of data transfer technologies; considerable knowledge of new concepts and designs in computer technology. Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, supervisory principles and practices.

Description

  • Thorough knowledge of the programming techniques and capabilities of computer software for building business applications and related data services (e.g. interfaces and reports).
  • Ability to translate user requirements into a successful IT deliverable product such as an application, report, or dashboard.

Compensation

Starting salary is $90,000 or more depending on experience

Minimum Requirements

Eight (8) years or more experience in computer science related work (e.g. business application or business intelligence/data reporting development).

OR

Four (4) years or more of experience in IT management and four (4) years or more of hand-on experience in computer science related work.
