Overview

The Reporting & Compliance Analyst provides professional-level analytical, reporting, research, and evaluation support for the Department of Human Resources, with an emphasis on producing accurate, timely, and high-quality HR data and analytics. The role is central to compliance-related data collection and reporting, ensuring the department meets requirements under federal law, state directives, and public records inquiries. Key responsibilities include developing queries, generating and validating data files and reports, and conducting peer reviews to maintain data integrity.

 

The position also plays an active role in designing and refining data systems and surveys in collaboration with fellow analysts, department staff, and systems developers. Given the sensitive and sometimes high-profile nature of the work, strict confidentiality is essential. Work is carried out under the supervision of an administrative manager and involves frequent collaboration with internal teams as well as external partners across multiple agencies and departments.

This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized through 06/30/2027. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Environmental Factors

Duties are typically performed in an office setting with normal working conditions. Depending upon duties assigned, some travel may be necessary, for which private transportation may be needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher AND three (3) years or more of experience in a human resources, financial or information management setting which involved working with complex regulations, software systems, business analysis, statistics, and/or data administration.

OR

High school diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of experience in a human resources, financial or information management setting which involved working with complex regulations, software systems, business analysis, statistics, and/or data administration.

OR

Two (2) or more years as a Human Resource Reporting and Compliance Specialist.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a software query tool, such as People Soft Query.

A high level of proficiency with Excel and Access
