Overview
The Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) seeks a Financial Systems Analyst to review, analyze, evaluate, and monitor the healthcare financial activity of Vermont's healthcare system.
The Healthcare Financial Systems Analyst will be a member of the Health Systems Finance Team in its financial oversight work relating to the financial budgets and inter-period reporting of Vermont's 14 Community Hospitals, the Brattleboro Retreat, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). Duties are performed under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Health Systems Finance. Additional duties will include developing workflows and using new financial data platforms, such as Tableau, to keep data and reports up-to-date and improve overall efficiency.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting, but travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Evening and weekend work may be necessary. Working with multiple public agencies, insurance companies and health care providers, and private interest groups will require effective skills in communications, managing conflict, conducting meetings and teleconferences, group process and decision making, and public participation skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, business administration, or related field AND two (2) years or more of experience with accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing or analysis, or related field that includes experience managing programs, funding sources, or staff.
OR
Four (4) years or more of experience with accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing or analysis, or related field that includes experience managing programs, funding sources, or staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing budgets.
