Overview

The Director of Data Management, Analysis, and Data Integrity leads enterprise-wide efforts to design, modernize, and govern data systems that enable evidence-based decision-making. This role ensures that all aspects of data lifecycle management-collection, integration, analysis, and integrity-are strategically aligned with organizational goals and evolving technology standards. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Informing Data Strategy & Providing Solutioning Leadership 
    • Collaborate with GMCB's Director of Analytics to refine and implement the existing data strategy and roadmap, which are focused on building the cultural, infrastructural, and technical conditions required for GMCB to steward a modern data program.  
    • Lead solutioning for data architecture modernization, ensuring systems are scalable, interoperable, and optimized for advanced analytics. 
    • Consult with leadership and stakeholders to identify data requirements, evaluate collection and processing options, and deliver innovative solutions that meet complex organizational needs. 
  • Data Modernization & Innovation 
    • Oversee the day-to-day work of modernizing data platforms, including migration to advanced technologies and adoption of best practices for data governance and security. 
    • Drive development of forecasting models and health care utilization analytics, leveraging cutting-edge tools for predictive insights. 
    • Champion data integrity initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all data sources and workflows. 
  • Data Operations & Oversight 
    • Manage programs for data collection, integration, and provision of analysis-ready data sets.  
    • Establish standards for data quality, validation, and stewardship, embedding these practices into organizational processes, maximizing automation opportunities. 
    • Monitor project timelines and deliverables for data-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed principally within standard office settings. Some field travel may be necessary, for which private means of transportation should be available. Evening, weekend, or overtime duty may be anticipated. Extensive interaction and differences of opinion with administrators and technical personnel, both within and outside state government, can be anticipated.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or related field AND four (4) years or more of experience in statistics, data research and analysis, which includes experience with financial modeling, and/or caseload modeling.

OR

Seven (7) years or more of experience in finance, statistics, data research and analysis, which includes experience with financial modeling, and/or caseload modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.
