Overview

Come apply your data management skills in an exciting, dynamic, and public-policy-oriented workplace!  The Insurance Division's Data Analytics Administrator will lead the development of insurance related databases, and serves as technical expert on data structure, data analysis, reporting and linking multiple data sets.  This role requires a high level of proficiency in database development and management, statistical data analysis, report development, web-based publishing, and written communication. The Data Analytics Administrator will be at the vital center of the Insurance Division's regulatory mission.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting, but travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or related field with academic work in data science, mathematics, statistics, or insurance data related research, AND two (2) years of professional experience in mathematics, statistical or policy analysis, business or public administration, or professional report writing.

 

OR

 

Master's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or related field with academic work in data science, mathematics, statistics, or insurance data related research, AND four (4) years of professional experience in mathematics, statistical or policy analysis, business or public administration, professional report writing, and involvement in program and/or policy development.

 

OR

 

Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, public or business administration, or related field with academic work in data science, mathematics, statistics, or insurance data related research AND six (6) years or more of professional experience in mathematics, statistical or policy analysis, business or public administration, professional report writing, and involvement in program and/or policy development.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in data analytics using statistical packages and database management applications with complex data sets.

Subject matter expertise in insurance.

Special Requirements

Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
