Overview

The Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division (DWGPD) is seeking a dedicated DEC Systems Coordinator to spearhead the development of our division's digital culture using SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft applications. This pivotal role involves collaborating with DWGPD staff and other administrative teams within the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to enhance administrative efficiency. Key priorities include promoting the adoption of digital tools such as SharePoint and Office 365 apps, and supporting process improvements for the FOCUS Program.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting and there is considerable interaction with managers, users and members of various project teams requiring tact and diplomacy to balance competing views.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science; or Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND three years experience in computer programming, database administration, or systems analysis; OR five years experience in programming, data base administration, or systems analysis.
