Overview

The Configuration Analyst will be tasked with supporting the web-based system known as Harvest, which the Child Nutrition Team uses for processing applications and claims.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, procedures, and user requirements to identify opportunities for process improvement, improving existing systems, and new system implementations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, enhance system performance, and ensure ease of use for process analysis, operational efficiency, and a seamless user experience. 

 

The Configuration Analyst position will be a hybrid role located in Montpelier. For in-office days, the position will be in Montpelier.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve production issues within the Child Nutrition applications and claims system (Harvest) by partnering with vendors and stakeholders to report, track, and coordinate issue resolution through vendor ticketing systems, including monitoring progress and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
  • Management of system enhancement requests and development of technical language for implementation of those requests.
  • Provide input and recommendations regarding system improvements, business process efficiencies, and future technology needs based on analysis of program operations and system performance.
  • Monitor vendor performance by tracking support hours, response times, and deliverables against contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate stakeholder validation and user acceptance activities for system fixes and enhancements before deployment to production environments.
  • Fulfillment of reporting requests made by Child Nutrition team and stakeholders, utilizing Excel and other tools such as Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Creation of system design documents, flowcharts, and detailed requirements documentation.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies and vendor to ensure projects remain on schedule and contractual obligations are met.
  • Providing technical support, guidance, training, direction, and assistance to team members on implemented software.

 

Configuration Analysts should have:

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with systems configuration and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with systems development lifecycle and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in technical support and software implementation is desirable.
  • Knowledge of data management principles and practices is advantageous.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of regular business hours may be expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, data science, or related field AND three (3) or more years of experience in data administration, business analysis, statistics, computer programming or design work.

 

OR

 

Six (6) years or more of data administration, business analysis, statistics, computer programming or design work.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Configuration Experience with HR Systems (both on-premise and SAAS).
