Overview

The Department of Buildings & General Services (BGS) is seeking a Catalog Support Analyst to maintain and optimize the VTBuys e-procurement platform. 

 

The Analyst will manage vendor catalogs, coordinate punchout setups, troubleshoot technical issues, and monitor vendor performance to ensure smooth procurement operations. The position will also be responsible for system testing, configuring new catalog integrations, and improving catalog accuracy.

This position, Catalog Support Analyst (#51033), is open to all State employees and external candidates. This is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized through 12/31/2026. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Some work outside of normal office hours may be anticipated.  Substantial pressure from deadlines may be experienced.

Minimum Qualifications

Four (4) or more years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or contract administration.

OR

Two (2) or more years of experience as a State Purchasing Agent for the State of Vermont, or the equivalent position in state, local, or federal government.
 

Preferred Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of excel.

Training or education in computer science, data analysis, or information technology.

Knowledge of the following: VTBuys/Ivalua system, State Finance system procurement and asset management modules, business administration, and laws, rules, and regulations relating to State purchasing.

Considerable experience in cXML and Ivalua.

Extensive knowledge of Ivalua platform Extranet error resolution.
