Overview
The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division.
Description
This Assistant Attorney General will work closely with victims of crimes of all ages, as well as criminal justice agencies including federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement entities. The position involves conducting all aspects of prosecution, including investigation, discovery, depositions, hearings, motion practice, trial, and appeals. Further, the Assistant Attorney General will be actively involved in the investigation and prosecution of cases with our Internet Crimes Against Children unit, which specializes in combatting child exploitation.

Compensation
This Assistant Attorney General position is an exempt full-time position. Salary and benefits will be based upon qualifications and experience in accordance with the State of Vermont Attorney Pay Plan. Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must be a member in good standing of the Vermont bar or be eligible to obtain admission by waiver.
Candidates must possess excellent research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills.
