Overview

The Agency of Transportation is seeking an Administrative Services Manager. This position will support both the AOT Finance & Administration (F&A) team and Emergency Management division. 

 

F&A examples of work include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate special projects for the Director’s office. (ex.: strategic plan support, legislative coordination
  • Serve as backup for the Director’s office Administrative Services Coordinator
  • Provide budget and invoice management for one or more Bureaus within Finance & Administration

 

Emergency Management examples of work include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides administrative support to numerous applications which require routine auditing for accuracy, and updates as personnel changes occur
  • Assists in the development and documentation of table top exercises
  • May provide support or serve in a specific Incident Command role during emergencies
  • Works with AOT divisions to ensure accuracy of the Agency continuity plan and it’s annexes, as well as Emergency Preparedness Plans

 

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule and telework requests will be considered. This is a limited service position funded through 09/30/2026, with possibility of extension.

Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years of experience providing professional administrative-level services to a business or organization which included an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

OR

Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years of experience providing professional administrative-level services to a business or organization which included an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.

OR

One (1) year as an Administrative Services Coordinator IV with the State of Vermont.

 

NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative services includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).

Special Requirements

For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
