Overview
Come join a team of dedicated and compassionate RN’s at the Middlesex Therapeutic Community Residence! We are currently recruiting and an evening RN II. Currently, this position has a temporary 12 hour schedule of 0630-1900.
The Middlesex Therapeutic Community Residence (MTCR) is a seven-bed secure residential facility designed to provide a community-based aftercare option for people who are ready to discharge from a psychiatric hospital but still require considerable support in their recovery process. The facility offers several outdoor areas for the residents to use; a small area for quiet meditation and a larger space that allows for playing basketball, relaxation and enjoying the fresh air, and the ability to engage in some gardening. Within MTCR itself, there are two living rooms, a game room and a quiet room; each are appointed with comfortable couches and seating. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. We have musical instruments and art supplies on hand for residents who want to exercise their creative abilities. We encourage focusing on physical health and have an activity room that contains a treadmill and recumbent bicycle.
At MTCR, we encourage residents to collaborate with their treatment team in creating a strengths-based, recovery focused plan to address their individual challenges and goals. Available treatment options include individual psychotherapy, psychiatric care, pet therapy, art therapy, and regularly scheduled group programming designed to help residents develop and implement skills that will help them integrate back to living their lives in their home communities. Clinical staff at MTCR work closely with residents, their families, and designated agencies to ensure that transitions to community living are as smooth and planful as possible, taking care that residents are supported in meeting success on their journey to recovery.
