Overview
The Agency of Transportation is seeking an Administrative Services Coordinator to support daily district and office operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This position plays a key role in keeping the office running smoothly and provides a broad range of administrative, financial, and recruitment support. Responsibilities include assisting with budgeting activities, processing payroll and invoices, providing customer service to internal and external partners, and supporting recruitment efforts such as coordinating postings, scheduling interviews, and assisting hiring managers throughout the hiring process. The role also supports general office functions, including records management, correspondence, report preparation, and other administrative tasks that contribute to efficient operations.
Strong computer skills are essential, as many functions are paperless. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable learning new systems. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the capacity to remain calm and effective in high-demand situations.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of full-time college level study OR a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.
OR
Three years of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
Two years of full-time college level study OR an associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
One year of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff.
OR
One (1) year or more as an Administrative Services Coordinator II with the State of Vermont.
Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
