Overview

The Vermont Department of Health (VDH) is seeking to fill a Health Data Administrator role! This is a great oppurtunity for candidates who are detail oriented, have good communication skills and want to help in the State's response to COVID-19. This role may serve different purposes and could assist in data systems, technology and troubleshooting, training and creating training documentation and other aspects that all work to support COVID-19 testing and vaccination in our state. The successful candidate will be assigned to a specific role within the team and work cohesively with others to complete projects and tasks.

 

This position may work 35-40 hours a week and in a variety of different shifts. This position works remotely and candidates from all states are welcome to apply!

This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS:  Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.  In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Considerable interaction with Information Technology Section, users, and other department staff is involved.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent AND one 1 year or more of experience in data processing and database administration above the data entry level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the customer support software system Salesforce 
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
