Title: Public Health Director of Planning and Healthcare Quality

Overview
Planning, coordination, and evaluation work involving the implementation of a department-wide strategic plan and statewide State Health Improvement Plan. Coordinates cross-cutting program initiatives, addressees departmental priorities and manages and directs selected initiatives. Manages multiple areas of the Department including Performance Management and Quality Improvement, Accreditation, Workforce Development and multiple diverse quality improvement projects. Reports to Deputy Commissioner.

Environmental Factors
Duties are typically performed in a standard office setting. Some travel is required for which private means of transportation should be available. Incumbents may need to work evenings or weekends and speak before public groups.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Planning, or a health field and at least five years at a professional level in planning, public health, public administration or human services including at least two years in management with supervisory responsibilities.
OR
A doctoral degree in Public Health or Planning and at least 3 years at a professional level in planning, public health, public administration or human services including at least two years in management with supervisory responsibilities.
