The Vermont Department of Health is hiring for the Integrated Data Repository Manager position, which supports the Shared Public Health Information System (SPHINX) programs. SPHINX includes the following data systems: Vital Records, Immunization Registry and Inventory Management, Lead Screening, Developmental Screening, and Hearing Screening. The Integrated Data Repository Manager leads data governance efforts related to SPHINX, acts as a connection between the individual SPHINX programs, supports SPHINX program managers with training and orientation, and is a liaison between the programs and the Agency of Digital Services. The person in this role creates and updates system documentation, understands and supports user access processes, and completes tasks such as business rule development and user acceptance testing. They may also be asked to complete one-off projects related to data governance and documentation to support the general needs of the Health Statistic and Informatics Division.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting, but private means of transportation should be available for required travel outside the office. The role involves intensive interaction with department officials who may advocate strongly for their programs. Required recommendations may be difficult because of competing interests and limited resources. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree AND two (2) years or more of experience in project management, information technology, data administration, business analysis, statistics, or other related field at a professional level.


Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more of experience in project management, information technology, data administration, business analysis, statistics, or other related field at a professional level.
