Overview

This role will act as the lead trainer for the Vermont Immunization Registry (IMR). In this capacity the work will be primarily with various IMR users - providers and their associated staff, school nurses, department of health staff, etc.. The primary job duties will include: develop training materials for use in multiple settings/multiple user types, conduct trainings with providers through multiple modes of communication (i.e., remote and in-person), onboard new health professionals, ensuring they have appropriate understanding of the IMR prior to use, outreach to existing users regarding training needs, provide technical assistance to users, utilize data to evaluate existing training curriculum and revise as needed to, coordinate with IMR Manager on changes to the system, any resulting training needs and deployment of any resulting training to users, and coordinate with the other systems within the same platform used by the IMR to identify opportunities for collaboration as relates to provider trainings.

Environmental Factors

Duties are carried out in a variety of settings including standard office, classroom, facilities of a resource provider, or even in an on-the-job setting. Considerable travel is involved for which private means of transportation must be available. Position duties may require performance outside of normal work days and hours. Tight deadlines for organization and presentation of proposal and programs can occur. Strong and differing opinions may arise as to the nature, content, method of delivery, etc. of training programs, which should be positively channeled to achieve program enrichment. Changes in available funding may necessitate sudden program modifications.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in the broad field of education, psychology, or human services AND one (1) year or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

Associate's degree in the broad field of education, psychology, or human services AND five (5) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.

OR

High School diploma AND seven (7) years or more of professional level experience in the broad field of employee training, curriculum development, staff development, psychology, human services or education, INCLUDING one (1) year or more in a formal employee or client development program.
