The Agency of Human Services Secretaries office is seeking a Field Services Director to join our state team. Our ideal candidate will have experience informing and implementing local and systems level change, that reflect Agency planning services . The candidate will provide guidance and leadership in their districts, for the creation and implementation of Agency policy and planning projects in the field. Strong knowledge in all aspects of  the health and human services systems of care, and AHS department's organizational structure and field delivery system, is essential. The successful candidate will have  a background in collaboration with other Agency departments and various community non-profit organizations, including schools, ensuring the development and implementation of integrated field operations to achieve effective coordination and delivery of services.  It is expected that the Field Services Director will oversee multiple district offices to include Burlington. The ability to travel and manage a flexible schedule are needed for this position.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting, but with the need for extensive travel, for which private means of transportation must be available. Attendance may be anticipated at a variety of regional, departmental, agency, and multi-group conferences, some involving a leadership or chairperson role. Work outside of normal office hours will be required. Employee and client situations with significant stress and emotional overtones are predictable.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree AND (6) six years at or above a caseworker level in a formal human services program, with at least two years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Master’s degree AND (4) four years at or above a caseworker level in a formal human services program, with at least two years of supervisory or managerial experience.
