Overview

The Vermont Veterans' Home is seeking to hire a part-time Social Worker to assist with psychosocial assessments, care plans, and providing supportive counseling. In addition, you will assist with referrals, admissions and developing person-centered care plans prior to admission.

 

The anticipated hours for this part-time/temporary position will be 24 per week and will include occasionally working on a weekend.

This position, Veterans' Home Social Worker - Temporary (#24865), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed at the Vermont Veterans' Home. Case situations can arise at any time requiring potential weekend and/or evening response. Conflicts may arise in dealing with residents, family members and guardians.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services or a related field INCLUDING supervised field placement or practicum in direct client casework services.
